Once upon a December.

So. I'M BACK TO OUTFIT POSTS! My dear Mother snapped a few more outfits for me yesterday, (all with the same hair and makeup, but I'm not a beauty blogger) so they'll be coming soon! And yes. I did freeze. I then realised that I didn't take any images of the dress alone- without the jacket, but forgive me, it was about minus 2 outside. And my legs were kind of out? This look is essentially one for a autumn/winter formal occasion, wedding perhaps? I wore this dress to my Aunt and Uncle's Renewal of Vows back in September and loved it back then as much as I do now!

Also this post is one with huge appreciation to that of Kenza Accessories. As you all should know my last post, regarding a review of Kenza Accessories was honest. The amazing owner of the company wrote this in reply when I sent her the link: "Thank you for your review. I'm pleased you were honest! Sorry some of the pieces didn't fit/broke, we are always working on supplying better quality pieces & in time hopefully we will conquer this!". I am so grateful towards the company for not ignoring me, or replying harshly, Kenza is a delightful company to work with, and I do hope to work with them in the future!

And here's another shoutout. Thank you, to all those who continue coming on my blog, and viewing my old posts. My blog is now more successful than ever, and I love you all. (Hugs all around!)

Honesty is such a lonely word.

The first thing any blogger (or at least most bloggers I know) will say to a company (whom is to send them a gift or product to review) is that they will be 100% honest in their review. But honestly how many times have you read a not as positive review? Not many? This is because to keep a good reputation among company's they will have to be generous in the review no matter how bad the product. And to be honest I've done the same or at least considered doing the same. But I think it's about time someone said the truth about some of these companies. Or at least tried to. So here is my latest review of some jewelry products I have been sent.

Kenza Accessories is a great company. They have a good service, beautiful products for the more 'out there' girl. When they were looking for bloggers to work with I jumped at the chance. I conversed with the company owner and she even asked as to what products I'd like to review. And I chose the claw ring as seen here- She sent me a few other products too, the Sparkle Spike Bracelet, the Triple Spike Bracelet and the Stud Ring.

Anyway when they arrived I loved them! The packaging was beautiful, each in a plastic packet, inside a cute draw bag. All lovely and professional! Opened them, still in awe. And then awhhhh. The claw ring didn't really fit. It just about fit my little finger, and in trying to remove it, one of the claws grew wobbly. But when a member of my family moved it, they snapped it. Here's an image of the ring, as featured on Kenza's Website.
Claw Ring

The other spike ring was beautiful too, with two holes for each finger- one I could slide on, the other I really struggled with - in struggling to remove it this one broke too. Heres an image from Kenzas site, and some of my own.
Stud Ring

One of the bracelets was somewhat tight on my wrist. I wore it for a day to review- in this day when it touched any other items it scratched the silver paint- by the end of the day they were more like tiger spikes, and the plastic stretchy part holding it together was starting to fray. Since then it has disappeared from my house. Whether it will appear again I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised as to whether a family member removed it (along with the claw ring) from my house thinking it was rubbish.

Triple Spike

And finally the big one. The shamballa studded bracelet. To some they will love it to others they will be horrified. I don't like shamballa bracelets, honestly I don't know what it is but I don't. But this ones kinda gorgeous in its individual way. My only complaint? It is tight on my wrist, leaving marks. Other than that I really like it. I do I do I doo-oooh. It's made of the same materials as the other products are, and it will scuff (right now I'm to scared to wear anything near it, spikes scare me!). But be sure to see it in the future in my posts!

Honestly? I would buy from Kenza. The jewelry as said is stunning. I do love it. But for a girl like me forever on the go, and one who can be fairly accident prone? Go for the firmer pieces!
Here are my pick's!

Dita Von Jeez.

This post is one of those ones, that I'm going to ramble on about my story for ages- in this case meeting Dita Von Teese. If you dont like rambling, or you dont like Dita, then hasta la vista baby.
P.S. there's photo's of a lady in her underwear. (I try to make you stay I really do..)

The other week I entered a competition through Debenham's Blog, to win the opportunity (along with 99 others) to meet Dita Von Teese. This lovely opportunity came around thanks to Dita's new underwear range in association with Debenhams- named Von Follies. Check out the amazing collection here, and in the following images!

Now as far as I'm concerned she is a GODDESS for those who are similarly pale skinned. She's the woman who made burlesque dancing far more classy, she is the ultimate teese. Truly. I really admire the woman, she's stood up to (most) stereotypes, and is a huge success. I even follow her on twitter for goodness sake! So meeting her was gonna be a big thing for me.

Yesterday I received an email, telling me I'd won the competition, and along with my 99 other winner's get to meet her. Only minature problem was that it was today, in the morning, in Oxford Street. Now this wasn't a major problem as I live close to an underground line, takes me around an hour and a bit to reach Oxford Street (I go here fairly regularly!), but it was the time. 10:30am? That time shouldn't exist. I woke up at 6:30am (unheard of for me), and left running late. However totally forgot to print the email as that was my ticket so had a big time panic on the train! Seriously, was google'ing internet cafes with printers, printing shops, considered buying a wireless printer at one point (then realised I had no money, no ink, and no power source. It was a low moment, believe me).
So got to Debenhams but it was cool, as they let me just flash them the email. And then the queueing. It wasn't too bad, was the second in line to be honest! So many employees of Debenhams were fluttering around, her entourage etc, it was crazy.
And then she walked past. You know how everyone's like the camera adds ten pounds etc. Believe me it does. Her photo's represent her as slim but curvy. She is skinny and curvy. Its strange. She hung out in her dressing room for a bit, then went to a photo/press call, then came back. And this is the bit I really love. SHE CANNOT WALK PROPERLY IN HEELS. SHE WOBBLED. Its official, Dita Von Teese is a human being. At the end of the day, she has to sit on the toilet like the rest of us.
And this was her yesterday! (Image credit to: I'mnotobsessed)
Even I had trouble not staring at her cleavage. I mean the bra mostly out above the dress? Come on.

So when it was my turn I walked over and met the woman. Now she is quiet. And I mean quiet. And as many of my friends will tell you I cannot lipread and at times I struggle to hear people. You know those annoying bitches who are like what? to everything you say.. That's me. Although its genuinely because I cannot hear you. So it was a case of really small general conversation, and then I was like, "I love your shoes!". And I did, they were some beautiful Louboutin's. (which were to high for her). And she was like 'Thanks'. And then signed a photo for me.
And this is wear it gets fun. I then say, "quick question, what is your favourite outfit?". She replied "darling its yours, I love it so much!". And with that we we're bestfriends forever!

Except it didn't go like that. Let me get one thing across when I'm under pressure or nervous I confuse my words. Alot. Now this could be something any English star could deal with, they could interpret what I mean than bam. Easy peasy. Except she's American. So the conversation went more like this. Me "Quick question, if you could have any outfit what would it be?". With alot of stumbling over words etc. And she stopped. Looked confused and was like "that's a difficult question. ummm... emm... *silence for 10seconds*, I guess you'd have to look in some of my movies". Me "okay, thankyou, bye"

It was awkward. Turns out I do fan girl (alot). Don't think she liked me. Still got her autograph..

Ahh well.
New claim to fame. I CONFUSED DITA VON FREAKING TEESE.

Love,
Sophh Elizabeth.
